Raspberry Pi 3
Re: Raspberry Pi 3
Got it up and running today running a few test prints with it so far so good.
Re: Raspberry Pi 3
So far so good no Pi issues or octoprint issues thus far running fast and stable with ten prints behind me . You need to run a nightly build which can be found HERE I used the second one listed as the first one gave me issues . Streaming across wifi is faster for sure.
Re: Raspberry Pi 3
never thought about that really. i figured the current stable build 1.2.9 would work on it.
Re: Raspberry Pi 3
The current stable build Wheezy does not support the Pi 3 the latest nightly of jessie does as support was just added one nightly back .It has been rock solid thus far. I have an 18 hr print on it now without issue at the moment. I finally got my print feed back up as well which is in my signature below.I will say the WiFi might be a tad buggy when first loading the page it can be a little slow but once connected no drops. The big thing is mpeg streamer seems much faster across the WiFi. Makes for a better view with little to almost no lag.Of course depending on your WiFi speeds and such mileage may vary !
Re: Raspberry Pi 3
Have they added or changed anything notable in the new octo-pi?
Re: Raspberry Pi 3
Not from the current stable version that I can see or tell.I however do not look at release notes much. Mostly bug fixes and pi3 support I believe.

the eagle has landed!
Re: Raspberry Pi 3
Interestingly enough.....today was national pi day. (Yeah, the 3.14159 etc. kind.) Lotta places giving a $3.14 discount on pizzas and whatnot.
