Rick, did you file a police report? That makes things move a bit better, plus insurance and all that.

Ebay listings can be reported stolen. Maybe that might prevent them from selling it.

I'm hoping Rick & his police contact know that. They don't need us being vigilantes :|

I asked the eBay guy a few questions when he 1st posted the listing several days ago. He could not answer any of the questions regarding what revision it was or what options were included and he would only answer in single words. Basically all he would say was to look at the manufactures website. He did finally say it was 2 weeks old.
I ended up buying the one listed here on the fourm.

This is an eBay seller trying to sell a stolen M2. The M2 serial number is: 31116789

I messaged him to return it and he shutdown the auction and claimed he just sold it on craigslist!

Yeah, no he didn't. SearchTempest shows no MakerGears on CraigsList within 500 miles of VA.

Are you guys opening police reports on these M2s from stolen credit cards?

You ship via USPS, right? The USPS has an entire police division dedicated to this (the USPIS). They carry guns. They can arrest people. They'll bust down doors in full riot suits if its bad enough. It's usually across state lines, too -- that can get the FBI involved. There's no reason you guys should take it on the chin when people steal from you.

I assume somebody is contacting all the eBay legal people? I'm sure they deal with this stuff all the time.

We've been shipping with FedEx for a while and they have not been helpful. Also filed a police report.
