M2 EduCraft Success

Post by TGAW » Thu Jun 09, 2016 6:08 pm

Listening to the WTFFF Podcast today with guests Mack Fixler and JohnGomm of EduCraft. They have some great things to say about the M2 and how dramatically it changed their summer camp.

"The MakerGear has made our lives really, really fantastic"

This is great! Thanks for posting. Wish this had been available a few days ago as I drove through Santa Barbara on Tuesday.

Much better than the "worst product ever" feedback we received on amazon today!

I think most people who use Amazon can recognize and discount an unwarranted bad review from a disgruntled customer.

Well, at least it doesn't come up under "top critical review".

I have heard only good things about the M2 from the high school where I donated one this year. They have been using it nearly every day, and some sophomores decided to 3D print an end-of-year award for their favorite teacher. Any printer that can survive a school environment where it is used by many people, many of whom are encountering 3D printing for the first time, has got to be a robust machine!

It would be helpful for the person to contact us or to at least know who they are so that we can find out what happened. There are a lot of people with that name in the US...

They probably expected it to just unpack and run, like an inkjet.

Oh neat, I am glad this got posted. I totally was going to, but then forgot.

We love our M2s and it has been such a breeze using them in our camps. I have been promoting the M2 in our community and most schools in our community that do 3D printing are now using the M2. In fact, most of the schools in town would call me up to fix their printers; however, since they have switched to the M2 I have gotten far less calls.

I am now working at MOXI (www.moxi.org) and we purchased three M2s and they arrived in great condition and were printing just minutes after they were unboxed.

I've used 20+ different 3D printers and there is no printer I would recommend over a M2. As a whole it is a solid machine that is incredibly reliable. There are a couple small things I don't like about the newest revision, but they are so minor it isn't even worth mentioning.

One more important thing to note, the customer service is absolutely fantastic. If you ever have a question or an issue, give them a ring, they are very responsive.

Long story short; buy the Makergear M2.
