indented to outdented

Is it possible to mirror a JEP image that was converted to a STL. The problem in the conversion is the image is indented surrounded by a box. I want to print the image out dented.

It is possible in Rhino, provided the image is not too complex. (STLs are hard to work with, they use a lot of memory.)
