extruder problem

So I've printed twice and both failed at the same point. After about 15 minutes of good printing (first on medium grade, second on fast setting) the extruder stopped putting out abs. I stopped the print and manually jogged the filament. Nothing comes out. I have to give it a push with my hand on the filament to get it restarted. After that it flows nicely. Any thoughts? The temp was set at 246C and the flow is nice when it works in the beginning. I don't know why it is getting clogged.

The 40mm fan appears to be at a constant speed throughout the printing.

Is this PLA? That is pretty warm for PLA.

Try adjusting the filament tension set screw, to the right of where the filament enters the extruder. Try tightening it, and if that doesn't work, try loosening it.

I may have solved the problem. My print has gotten further than it has and continues to print.

I had tightened the set screw and I increased the gap between the extruder and the plate. My thought was that the ABS was jamming up against the outflow. I'll let you know how it goes.
