Hello,
I am having an issue with cracks in my 3D models. I am using ABS and making basically a square shape 1.50 x.1.50 x 1.75 and I am getting cracks between the layers. Not many approximately 2- 4 on model depending on the model size. It appears that the layers did not bond properly. Cracks are approximately .250 long. Does anyone know why this is occurring and how I can prevent it?
Thank you,
Cracks/Defects in 3D Model

First, I would try raising the extruder temperature by 5-10C.
Further diagnosis requires more information. i.e. whose filament? temperature? layer height? etc.

Re: Cracks/Defects in 3D Model
Two things come to mind.
1) Extrusion Multipler - If you are not laying down as much plastic as intended, the wall will be weak.
2) Heat - If heat is not enough, the plastic will not full bond to the previous layer.

and don't run the cooling fan for ABS either.
