At Rapid we'll also have the 12"x12"x12" M4. We'd like to get some feedback before going into production.

Rick...... You guy have really stepped up the game with the M3... it sounds amazing.

I bet you're about to be inundated with M2 upgrade related question though.

So will you need beta testers for that M4 prototype?

I work for a major university and I'm sure we'd be happy to help :D

Also, did anyone else notice that M3 got announced on May 3?...

You make an M4, with direct drive idex, you are the only machine at that size with those capabilities. M3 with direct drive idex already kills the Sigma. PS -- upgrades for M2 -- would be awesome to move the M2 to an idex system.

Good call on doing independent dual extrusion with the M3.

I already have idex on my M2 with Tim's magnetic upgrade :D

On the M3 it looks to me like you increased the linear rail (like I did) so that the left extruder can print the entire bed still? You should list that as a selling point.

I have to think that's going to require electronics (since the Rambo only has 5 stepper drivers), plus the new top plate, extra extruder hardware.... That's going to be an expensive upgrade kit, really.

That isn't my first concern. To upgrade the machine I currently have will be less than buying a whole new one. My revD machine needs some maintenance anyway. Plus anything removed becomes spare parts for the other machine.

A 12 x 12 x 12 MakerGear? This is my dream machine! Add in ideal independent extruder a and I'll pick one up! I live in Pittsburgh, so I am definitely planning on stopping by to discuss this machine!
