High reading on extruder thermistor

Hi all,

I have been having some issues lately that I thought someone here might be able to help with. I am printing ASA at 262degC which seems hot, but I am not getting very good interlayer adhesion. I have also had some problems with printing nylon that would also seem to indicate the extruder is running cold. Is it possible that the thermistor in the heater block is giving me a reading that is too high? I am running the V4 hot end, which I installed earlier this year.

Is there a mechanism by which the thermistor could heat up without the heat properly getting to the extruder? Is it possible I didn't tighten down the nozzle enough? Has anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks in advance for any help, and have a great day,
Jim
