Adjusting bed height without recalibration

Post by bratan » Tue Nov 28, 2017 2:53 am

From time to time I swap between printing plates of different height (i.e. 1mm). Is there any way to to set z height without going thru 30 minute calibration routine on Rev E M2 machine? I know my corners are level, I just need to change overall start height :)

I use Octoprint to feed my M2. I have custom control buttons to change the Z offset depending on which bed I'm using. I never use the setup application - I set the bed offset to a standard value, and then use shims to set the nozzle clearance to the bed. I have other buttons for small offsets plus and minus if I have to tweak the first layer height.
