Has there been any indication from Makergear as to when we could expect the M4 to be available for sale?

Three weeks of silence is not a great sign.

The problem with getting input about possible new products is that we start getting questions that we can't always answer in a timely manner. At this time, the M4 concept as demonstrated at Rapid last year is not going into production.

It seems You keep things "close to the vest" and only release new products when You're very happy with the new machine. Ex: I remember seeing the Delta prototype live (which looked great and I wanted) but it never came out.
I'm very pleased with my M3-ID and would like to know if You can say anything about the enclosure that's been mentioned in the forum.

The enclosure for the M3/M2 is going into production. We'll have it at Rapid in Ft. Worth in April. We'll post pricing info once we have the costs finalized. We'll also posts some photos soon...

Great news on the enclosure.

I hear you on the M4. I don't think I (or other folks) understood that it was an prototype to get market feedback rather than a planned product. Though I've been there before; I've been in product management for decades and have occasionally had "I'm looking for feedback on an idea" misinterpreted as a product announcement. For hopefully-constructive feedback, best ways to avoid that are 1) not naming the product (putting "M4" next to "M3" created the appearance that it was an announcement) and 2) make it look visually different; unfinished aluminum or yellow or something. A picture captioned "MakerGear's prototype large-format printer" would send a different message.

Anyways, I am bummed that an M4 is not in the cards, but happy to not have that in the back of my head as I consider the next printer.

I am reminded of the Dilbert cartoon where Dilbert asks the boss, "Marketing told them we could do WHAT?"
