The fabled superglue test

Post by insta » Sat Apr 25, 2015 11:33 pm

It works well enough, the filament passes through it, but now my V4 is skipping trying to feed a different, goopy white PLA (running at 230C). It's hard to tell if it's the fault of the superglue or the PLA, but I had enough trouble with getting the ends stuck together in the first place that makes it not worth it. Just melt them together or something instead.

edit: Oiling the PLA with corn oil has cut the skipping down some, but it's still doing it.

edit2: print failed, nozzle's jammed

Whoops. Thanks for being the guinea pig.

Good going, Rob, look what you did.

Same PLA on a backup PTFE v4 ran through with zero issues, definitely the superglue causing it.
