I was making the model scale 1/500 and i do use thickness 0.4 and 0.8 as often as 1.2 and 1.6
the 0.4 i use them to show patter on the floor or on the facade of the building and i noticed that unless you set up the extrude thickness 0.39 instead of 0.4 some of the detail at 0.4 will be skipped depending on the mood of the slicer
so my advice if u make a model and need extreme detail based on multiple of 0.4 don't set it to 0.4 but to 0.39 but draw as if u were on base .4
Architectural model and thickness 0.4
Re: Architectural model and thickness 0.4
Interesting. Are you using SF3D? If so can anyone speak as to why it wont slice the 0.4mm detail with an extrusion width?
Re: Architectural model and thickness 0.4
yes i am using SF3D and i made a lot of test print of different size wall 0.4 to 2.0 and (i didnt save the picture but is an easy test to replicate yourself)
and the 0.4 never get printed nore in the preview nore in the real printing is is 0.4 and is a stand alone wall
it will be printed as negative reveal (empty space) but not as wall
but if u set the extrude to .39 it will be printed ^_^ as i said i made many test and is a consistent situation
