How do I clear this clog in my extruder?

Post by Fusion916 » Thu Mar 03, 2016 2:34 am

I bought a fully assembled M2 about a week ago and I somehow already got the nozzle clogged. I couldn't feed it anymore fialment it would just do the "thud thud" sound over and over again, so I took it apart and it seems both the hot end (the brass part) and the thing that feeds it has dry pla stuck it in. I already have the brass part sitting in paint thinner now to unclog it but how do I go about unclogging this part? PLA jammed in on both sides, here are the pics:

Heat the hotend up to about 160C, hold the heater block gently with some vice-grips, and poke the clog out the top with a small allen wrench.
