No, no - you can attach the PEI to the glass. That's what I did with my first one, and i'm still using it. (Costs about $25 to do the PEI on the glass - you'll need to get some 3M 468MP full sheet tape as well, and a plastic cutter. Just read through the Nirvana thread....i put the PEI links in there.)

A Brim would help, with zero offset. (Never want to use a raft unless absolutely necessary - like for a rounded bottom that doesn't contact the plate.) But then you'll have to cut the brim off - not easy to do with a rounded surface....always looks choppy. Best bet is just a little adhesive until your PEI comes in. :D
