tips to resolve peeling supports

Post by psd » Tue May 17, 2016 5:09 pm

I was having a series of issues with my taller supports created with new S3D peeling off of build plate half way into project and eventually bowling down the rest of the build.

I tried, successfully, a few times, when I catch a peel early I pause the print, re-stick the part to the plate with painter's tape and then resume the print.

Works wonders!

Just wanted to say thanks!

I read this post earlier today while I was lurking around on the forum. I thought it was a cool idea at the time, but went on with my day. I started a print a little later, and a small piece of the corner started pulling it up. I was about to restart the print, but then I remembered this post. Ran to grab the blue tape and put a little down. I was able to save the print!
