New to 3D

Post by turtleman » Fri Oct 19, 2018 1:11 am

Well I just got my M2 used printer from Makergear. So I got the LCD screen but do not see a port to plug it in to. Any help why they would let me order it and not need it? Some of the things needed to be done also were not included. Also can I use my tablet instead of my lap top? Thank you

The LCD uses 2 cables that go to the inside of the main electronics box.

Installation instructions are here: http://makergear.wikidot.com/m2-lcd-panel

turtleman, I just wanted to make you aware if you are not already, 3D printing is not plug and play. There will be a few months of frustration (I just got my M2 last Feb) with everything you need to figure out and lean. Good luck and be prepared to have your free time consumed! :D

Feel free to pm me if you run into issues. If you are using simplified 3D I highly recommend joining their forum and reading all of their docs and watching the videos in the support area. The Slicer is the hardest thing to get a handle on. The m2 is a solid machine that will do what it is supposed to without issue. Setting the starting height and leveling the bed is the hardest thing to deal with on the M2.
