Z-stop bolt

Post by dryeti » Sat Aug 16, 2014 9:59 pm

I found it hard to adjust the Z-stop bolt using conventional tools, so I designed a pair of tools that act as drivers for the bolt and its counternut. They can be used at the same time in a nested configuration.

I've been using those, they work great! Will post in the "I made one" section in a couple of weeks. Waiting to take pictures of all the stuff I've made in the past weeks at the same time. Thanks for a very handy tool set!

I second that! First file I printed, after doing all the required calibration prints.

I was messing around with different ideas for liners to use on top of the glass, from paper, to silicone, contact paper and even cut up sticky mats from the cutter world. (If I find something that works consitently I'll post it.) But I had to keep re-setting that Z-stop, and i didn't really have a wrench that fit worth a damn.

This thing WORKS! And it's really speeding up the process. Many thanks! Great design!
