I'm hoping that this will be the new "must-have" accessory for M2s. . .

What strikes me about your photos... is that your frame is all shiny! Is that a new thing? Mine is a textured black.

Yup, that's the "vintage" look, with the 24V and dual-extruder makeover.

Ah that looks like the new Esun Blue. Sigh, alas I did not receive my blue due to a mix up and I have to wait for the next batch to come in next year. I like the clear and yellow so far.
I am thinking of getting some of the flex from him and see how well it works while I wait for the blue.

If they are not stainless then what are they now? I have the old one as well. I had to wait 2 months for it. :D

Jim I can not even imagine how cool your M2 would be if you decided to give it a make over.

Yes, that's the eSUN translucent blue PETg, and it really is a nice color. I've been starting to design things for PETg because it's not brittle like PLA and can take a lot of flexing without breaking. This design has a built-in clip that holds the faceplate to the frame.

The frames are still stainless steel, they are just powder-coated black. I think the all-black design is pretty spiffy. I didn't know my original stainless was something to be envious of!

I didn't order the eSUN flexible filament because there was nothing advertised about it that would make it stand out from ninjaflex or ecoflex. It sounds like it has all the same issues as other flexible filaments, needing to be extruded very slowly. Somebody needs to get a bunch of different types and do a head-to-head comparison of the flexible filaments. But it's hard to do head-to-head comparisons of any filament types, because new types and new manufactures keep popping up on a monthly basis.

This is an interesting video of software that takes silhouettes and converts them into OpenSCAD polygons
