Yet Another MakerGear Tool Holder for the M2
Yet Another MakerGear Tool Holder for the M2
Late to the party again....
This mod moves the dryeti z-stop wrench holder up to the top, to make room for a spot to hang your calipers off the front. (Removed the large screw driver holder hole, since that isn't shipping with the machines anymore.)
The one printed below also has a slot for a tiny bubble level that I use to check the bed. (Didn't include that on the one I uploaded.)
Anywho...it's been "Thingied" if anyone else would like to use it to park their calipers near the machine.

Jules, you mention you use a bubble level to check the bed. How does that work? I was under the impression using a bubble level to check the levelness of the bed does nothing as the bed needs to be level to the nozzle, not earth. Anyway, thanks for the tool-holder.

Haha, that's awesome -- I've got the exact same calipers, and my current tool holder is in that same orange. Definitely looks like I'll need to upgrade my holder...

Chuckle! I've got a bad habit of taking the glass plate off to spray or clean or pry off a print, and not seating it completely flat on the bed (it's a snug fit). So at least in my case, it does need to be checked relative to the earth.nelsond6 wrote:Jules, you mention you use a bubble level to check the bed. How does that work? (The spider supporting the plate is perfectly level.)

That "orange" is just my extremely crappy iPad camera....it's actually printed in the eSun red PLA. (It looks a lot redder in real life, and matches the exposed red wires and screwdriver pretty well.)Vprints wrote:Haha, that's awesome -- I've got the exact same calipers, and my current tool holder is in that same orange. What is the black hexagon thing?
Re: Yet Another MakerGear Tool Holder for the M2
That is the dryeti Z-stop wrench. (Used to loosen the nut to adjust the Z-stop.)
