WOPR from WarGames

Post by Vandal968 » Mon Nov 09, 2015 6:28 pm

I modeled the WOPR computer from WarGames, came out nicely. I snuck the MakerGear logo into the photos too. S3D's selective supports really made this an easy print.

Thanks. I remembered that I had an Arduino laying around with an LED array on it, so I stuffed it inside. It still had a sketch loaded that would animate a double-helix which gives a pretty reasonable lighting pattern when viewed through the holes of the model and with no effort at all. Wife suggested we hang it on the tree for Xmas. Geek paradise.

Here it is blinking.

It's been living on my desk plugged into a USB hub attached to my computer, so when the computer is on, the WOPR is too.
