Scoring stylus adapter for Silhouette Cameo

Post by jsc » Thu Apr 06, 2017 1:18 am

I got a Silhouette Cameo a few months ago to get in on all the hot craft cutting action. Was sad to note that scores were interpreted as dashed cuts. Saw that Cricut had a scoring stylus that wasn't too thick and picked one up today; made this adapter to get it to work:

Coolness! (Amazing how handy it is to be able to manufacture your own adapters, isn't it?) :D

jsc that's just brilliant. That's a great way to think outside the box.

If you would have to choose between cameo or cricut which one would you buy?

I'm on the fence. They seem pretty similar and the review sites aren't helping much.
They are all hyping and they don't seem to be real. It's so hard to find somebody who
is not after a commission.

I've came across a blog just recently who seems legit. She actually mentions and blasts
machines with flaws. For example silhouette cameo compared to curio
highlights many facts. I didn't know curio can't cut paper and vinyl. Why would you make
such a machine? Oh right more money...
