so i found this little trinket on thingiverse.

the bottom wasnt flat so i straightened that out. i then sliced off the safety first and put my business logo on it. i primed the skulls with white automotive primer then airbrushed them. the logo is automotive paint as well.

What kind of filament do you use?

I know you do fancy knock your socks off extreme custom paint jobs.
What kind of air brush equipment, possible Badger, or Paasche?

Thanks john. This was the first time i used pla in months. Abs would have just warped a little too much on something this large. For airbrushes i use all iwata. The badger and paasche are really more for tshirts.

Jim, I've been looking at airbrushes for models, mostly. Some 3D prints, some RC models. The Hp hi-line CH model looks like it might be a good choice as a general purpose modeler's airbrush. Do you have any experience with that one? I wouldn't be using it daily...probably more like a few days a month...I don't want to buy bargain basement stuff, but that one isn't cheap and I'm hesitant to spend that kind of money on something that isn't pretty damned good!

dave, iwata doesnt make anything cheap or junky. its a top of the line company. the airbrush you are looking at is just going to be way overkill for what your doing. thats for real fine and hairline detail. its too fine for general use. that and the micron is more of a fine mural airbrush. their entry level line is the revolution series. to be quite honest when i go in to my case the first brush i grab to do 70% of general airbrush work is my revolution cr. it does everything from big shading to med detail. its a general workhorse airbrush. the next step up from that is the eclipse line. its great all around too but a slightly more precision feel for a little better detail. i have the hp-cs. my avatar pic was done 100% with the eclipse. either one of those would be perfect for what your doing and less expensive as well.

Beautiful artwork. Unfortunately my techie side will never allow me to move into the artistic area. A real "gift" when you can step on both sides of that chasm. Thumbs up!

Thanks. I have always been more of a creative craftsman type than anything but also love the tech stuff. Woodworker, mechanic with a little engineer mixed in there somewhere. My mom is a fine artist but i never really took to that as much then a out 15 years ago i started painting motorcycles and it turned into a business so the airbrush thing is what i do every day.
