There's as much art here as there is tech advice.

3D printing artistic talent is what I've seen from jimc and several other members.
I'm envious, being just a nuts and bolts user seeing truly amazing creations!

I'm guessing somewhere between "never actually finished it" and "better than your parts" Too bad that's such a wide range...

Man, the finish on those speakers with the wood grain is awesome. I know you said you used automotive paint but what was the technique employed?

Well they didn't turn out as nice as Jim's, but considering how most of my projects turn out these are museum worthy.

Hey those came out great! Did you get the amplifier for them or are you powering them some other way? I have mine hooked to my mac and just eq them through itunes. A little boost on the low and high end really makes them come alive.

They're a christmas gift for my dad (hope he doesn't read the forum...) and I'm not sure how he's powering them. Tomorrow I'm trying them out on my TP30 amp, which does 15WPC. You're right though, they sound great with next to nothing in terms of power into them!

No doubt, jimc has some crazy art skills! I was looking at his motorcycle painting website the other day... WOW!
