- I have been trying to print out this model for a few months with PLA, but there was always a problem.
Switching to ABS resulted in a successful print. The model is 6 x 2.5 inches. - (563.6 KiB) Downloaded 366 times

- This is the orientation I printed the lion.
In this position the teeth printed well. - zucco-lion2.jpg (63.4 KiB) Viewed 3925 times
- The PLA was melting and warping during the print.
The extruder head knocked the model off the base and it was printing in thin air. - lion-blooper.jpg (24.28 KiB) Viewed 3925 times

PLA is generally considered to be easier to print with, but one major problem with it is that it curls on overhangs without sufficient cooling. You see this very often with sculptural models. The edges will curl up and eventually cause a print failure if it gets too severe. An extra fan often helps in those cases.
