I recently undertook a large project to 3D a 4 and a half foot long heavy machine gun replica from the game Destiny. Its name is Thunderlord, and was featured heavily in Bungie's promotional material for the game leading up to launch. The model came from MMF ( https://www.myminifactory.com/object/th ... stiny-3108) and was done by a fantastic designer. All was printed on my M2, including the ninjaflex which if you are on the forums you have seen my posts in the filament subforum asking for advice on how to get it to behave :)

Anyway between the gun and her fantastic costuming skills (she's a great artist herself), we've gotten featured all over the place. As I'm sure has been said before, the M2 is a fantastic piece of equipment, and Rick/Sharon and Team deserve all the success in the world. Also, thank you guys/gals of this community! I trawled/lurked this forum and the Google Group for months before purchasing and the content helped me hit the ground running hard, although it helps I built/owned/heavily modded a Makerbot cupcake for years too :)

I also 3D printed some Sheik knives I found on thingiverse for a buddy cosplaying as Sheik.

Onto the pics! Oh, PS - if you have a reddit account, give us a +1 on the post - we wanna keep it front page :) http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/ ... lock_with/

I believe final count was somewhere between 1,100 - 1,200 hours :) That doesn't include cleaning up support material either. Probably add another 50 or so for that. S3D generates great support but sometimes it's still really tough to get it to disengage.
