good use for semiflex

Post by jimc » Wed Oct 07, 2015 3:45 am

so i never bothered to order semiflex because i really didnt know what to use it on....until now. so i have a honda ski and i needed to replace the rubrail on it only to find out that the very front nose section has been discontinued and not available anywhere. ok so time to model one up i guess. i did have to design it so that it could be made in 2 pieces because its far too big to be printed in one part. both the left and right sections fit and bolt together to the front of the ski. i was really happy with this. its far better than the actual stock one which is just polypro. this one is like hard car tire rubber and i was able to make the areas where the bolt go through solid and other areas cushion with lower infill.
