This is the 14-piece version I saw on Tested. Comes apart for easier finishing. https://ultimaker.com/en/blog/87-3d-pri ... nting-tips
White PLA, not yet finished. Well designed, except every tolerance is too tight, filing is required for assembly. The connectors and switch/pin are very fragile; I reinforced with superglue for strength. The inner spring "core" which holds the buttons in place must be from PETG or ABS, PLA is too brittle.

Re: Lightsaber
Awesome !!! Why not just print it out of white petg ??? I have been printing some colorfabb ngen and it has pla printability with petg qualities. I am almost through a roll and if I could get it cheaper I would buy nothing else !!!
Re: Lightsaber
I print with what I've got loaded, and at the moment that's white PLA and translucent blue PETG. While it might be cool in sparkly blue, I thought the white would be a little more natural.

Lightsabers being so natural, and all that.jsc wrote:I thought the white would be a little more natural.
Re: Lightsaber
PLA, made from corn, biodegradable! Accept nothing less. (Keep away from heat sources.)Lightsabers being so natural, and all that.
Every Jedi crafts his own light saber, but if you feel like breaking with tradition: http://www.wired.com/2015/12/custom-lightsabers/I would like a working one for X-Mas !!! Naturally of course !
