Starting to think of Christmas gift ideas to show my wife the printer saves us money. I came across this design on Thingiverse and while it is hit or miss to print, most are turning out better than I expected.

I have some colored pipe cleaners coming from Amazon. Will glue them in the base to make stems.

The challenge was getting a pipe cleaner stout enough to support the weight of the larger flowers and to hot glue
it without destroying the PLA. I ordered some from amazon that were too weak. Picked some up at Hobby Lobby and they were much sturdier.

Well, it doesn't make me money but if I could offset the costs associated with it, that would be fine by me. The M2 was a big part of me winning an award at work for process improvements and an extra $500 dollars! :D

Seems like I find a color that is fantastic then it is gone for weeks. Once it comes back around I feel like I need to buy several spools to avoid running out. The PLA market demand, especially on Amazon is rabid.

 This, exactly, is how I wound up with something like 20 spools of PLA that I have to store out of the humidity.
