I didn't make any kind of fancy case but I do have a pi that I setup with retropi about a year ago. was a cool project. hardest part of the whole thing was collecting all the roms and getting each one working and the controller setup for every game. took a couple months to get a couple hundred games all working right.

I know this is a bit of an "old" post, but that's odd that you had to do that much setup when using retropi. I just set my controller up on first boot and it pretty much works perfectly for every game and every emulator (since it uses retroarch in the background). These are fun projects though :)

Unfortunately every game has different inputs for the controller. Fire button for instance, you never know what button that will be. Each game has its own controller settings which are set at a default and may be right on some but not others.

Oh yah, I understand what you were talking about :) I guess all of the systems I put on there were pretty close so I never really noticed. The newer updates have been pretty solid. I built an arcade cabinet and every emulator is different so I know how you feel lol.
