That doesn't sound right: each layer should have a single closed perimeter thread outlining the whole radiator shape. If the fins are smaller than the extrusion width, then the slicer may suffer a brain cramp and do silly things, but … those short thread snippets may also indicate a non-manifold model triggering bizarre slicing results that almost work.
