I'm new to printing.
I think I lost an FFF profile that worked well.
My present PLA profile does not heat the bed and heats extruder to 190, while the previous profile heated up to 215 and the bed to 70.
Also, the first layer extruder height is also too high. The filament is coming out round and not attaching to the bed.
I have leveled the bed and zero-ed the Z-stop, but still too extruder tip is still too far from plate.
Thanks for your help. Doug

Re: Missing PLA profile and first layer problems
Hi Doug,
Welcome to the forum!
Are you using Simplify3D? If so, you can click the "Edit Process Settings" button and then use the "Select Profile" drop down to select a different FFF profile (see screenshot at end of this post). It will also remember the settings you last used.
However, you can also change the settings you mention individually:
-"Edit Process Settings" and "Show Advanced"
- On the Temperature tab you can set the extruder and bed temperatures as desired. 215 and 70 are the same temperatures that I use for PLA.
- On the Layer tab you can change the first layer height to a smaller value.
Hope this helps!
