Maker Gear M2, extruder clogging
Re: Maker Gear M2, extruder clogging
I'm having the exact issue right now. How do you take apart the gear box to analyze the problem?

When did your clogging issue start? Not feeding can be as simple as a tangle in the filament, or the gear needing cleaning.

I'd guess about 7 times out of 10, the issue has to do with too much tension on the filament drive screw, and the other 3 times, the bed is too close to the nozzle for the first layer. (like in the videoDexenthes wrote:I'm having the exact issue right now. How do you take apart the gear box to analyze the problem?

Read through these two threads for hints on how to fix the tension problem and check the extruder gear area:

Re: Maker Gear M2, extruder clogging
or the filament get at a weird angle with the filament guide and it get stuck and even if the tension is correct it can't pull it
it happened to me this is why i am printing a new filament drive http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:984369
but there are even less sophisticated one

better then the original one that is quite short and if u use a 1kg filament it may get stuck sometimes
