V3B & V4 nozzles interchangeable?

Post by Vandal968 » Fri Dec 04, 2015 12:26 am

The MakerGear website lists the V3B nozzle and V4 nozzle as two different parts. Are they actually different parts, or is it just poor website organization?

cheers,
c

The V3b nozzle itself is slightly different than the V4 nozzle (it's a bit larger). The V3b nozzles will fit on the V4, but I don't know if there's subtle things you'll wreck by doing it. I've been doing it every now and then, it just changes your Z-height somewhat.

Z height is the major thing. However my experience is the V4 work better on the v4.

Thanks for the info. I finally swapped out my V3B for a V4 and I was wondering if the nozzle could be re-used. The V4 has been on the shelf for two months warding-off clogs while the V3B devoured 4 complete spools of filament without issue.
