Hi!
I have a MakerGear M2. I use Simplify3D to send print jobs. Is it normal that my extruder does not cool down at all after a print job is done? It stays hot forever, until I start messing with Simplify3D again, whenever that may be. How can I get it to automatically cool down after each print job?
Thank you!
Extruder won't cool after print is done
Re: Extruder won't cool after print is done
This depends entirely on the G-code end script. In Simplify3D, edit the process settings and go to "Scripts" and "Ending Script". The very first line (or at least somewhere in there) should be "M104 S0", which is the command to turn off extruders. I have a weird dual extruder setup, so I won't print my ending script since it will almost certainly not work for you, but you can search this forum and find a handful of good ending scripts.
Google "end script site:forum.makergear.com"
For example, viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2954. Jules always has these things well-documented.
