Sand the PEI a little bit. (1000 grit) Makes it stick by giving it a little tooth.
(And make sure to clean off the sanding dust really well.)

hm alright.
I've never had any issues with smooth PEI on either of my printers, but if you think that'll help, I'll give it a shot after I finish this set of prints
