I'm trying to change the hot end on my M2 to print with a different filament (Flex Polyester). I have the old one unplugged and the fans out of the way, but when I try to slide it out of the extruder mount it doesn't want to move. It rotates freely but I'm afraid if I pull too hard I might break something. Is there a trick to it? If I need to apply force what's the best place to hold for leverage?

this is kinda silly but do you have the filament all retracted?
