Small problem with the plastic piece of my extruder

So when I change my roll I have to remove the plastic piece in the front of the extruder, feed the plastic through it, into the extruder, and then reattach that plastic piece. If I just try feed it through the plastic piece it gets jammed, every time without fail.

This problem has persisted through multiple hot ends.

Any chance anyone knows how to correct this. Moreso than leveling my bed this is the thing I hate most about my printer.

Sounds like you need to print yourself a new extruder housing.. they do wear out.. I prefer to use ABS but others like PETG. I think MG sells them as well if you don't feel like printing your own.
