Machined Aluminum Filament Drive

not sure what those holes are for rich. only thing i can see is to loop a small tywrap through to strap the wires. there may have originally been another purpose for those and they were never removed fro the model. rich, what hot end do you have? a v3 or v3b? you have something else going on man. too much heat or something. you should not be cooking the drives like that. i assume your extruder fan is working properly and at correct speed?
