Hi All,
I just got my M2 yesterday and built it all yesterday too. The only problem I am having with anything is the 2 extruder fans. The 50mm and the 40mm. When I plug the 50mm into its respective connection in the harness it does not work (fan 0). However when I switch the 50mm connector to the Fan 1 connector it powers right up and turns.
This proves that the 50mm is not DOA.
I also know that when the plugs are suppose to be with the fans the 40mm works perfectly so that is also not DOA.
When switching the fan 0 connector to the 40mm the fan will not work, but when switching fan 1 to the 50mm it will work.
This leads me to think that the fan 0 connector is not properly working by deduction.
Fan 0 Issue (50mm)
Re: Fan 0 Issue (50mm)
If you have a voltmeter, see if you are getting any volts at the screw terminals of fan 0. You can just probe the tops of the screws, you should see 24V.
Re: Fan 0 Issue (50mm)
Have you actually commanded a fan on command ("M106 S255") in your host software? Does "M106 S0" work instead?

Re: Fan 0 Issue (50mm)
I just checked what jsc said.
To verify my voltmeter was correct I tried it on the fan1 connection and got 23.5 volts.
I tested it on the fan0 connection and got 0 volts.
This means that there is nothing going through the fan0 wire. Correct me if I assume wrong?

yes but are you turning the fan on with the m106 like josh said or with the slider in s3d? the 50mm fan is not on all the time
