fan not turning on

Post by dbkarmann » Sat Aug 02, 2014 9:17 pm

so i changed profiles from abs to pet + and my extruder fan doesnt turn on. I changed profiles back to abs and now everytime i start a print i manually have to turn the extruder fan on. I have never had to do this before. any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Check your starting gcode. Check if there is an M108 command. It should have a value of 255 not 155. 155 is for the older 19v machines.

yeah its the extruder fan. i use the viki lcd controller to go in after the print starts to turn it on. i have never had to do this before. the only thing i did was load the file for pet+ and then changed it back when i failed at pet+ lol

I cant think of anything at the moment. M108 controls the fan so if that is set to 255 then the fan should be on

Go into your start gcode and just before the m108 line put an M400. No value needed with that just m400. That makes the printer wait until it completes all previous commands before it continues.
