[quote="Capt. John"]2k paper weight is only, because you're doing something way wrong.

PLA with stock settings using S3D is by far the easiest material to print.
Teeth marks from the drive gear should look similar to below photo:
Teeth_Marks.jpg
Take liberties by adding stuff (washers) and messing with filament diameter that should read 1.75, not 1.73
and extrusion rates is where your whole deal went south.
That's for the experts here that have been 3D printing for a long time.

Head space between the tip and hot end works for me at .006.
Too close a head space and the hot end clogs itself.
Buy some feeler gauges at any auto parts store in case you do not have any.

Bed must be level, tighten it down to keep tension on the springs.

Use the stock settings, reset S3D to default M2 settings with the hot end your machine uses.
In my case with a April 2014 machine it's v3b. Then, in S3d chose PLA stock settings and you
should be good to go.

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but if I can do it? ...anyone can![/quote

yeah i bought some feeler gauges that i used to level he bed with the extruder tip , and used the .006. I restore to default settings for the m2 in simplify 3d , and my extrusion multiplier was at 92% . The extruder is brand new, and using makergear filament. I have been talking with Josh from makergear so far he said it could be a worn filament guide, so im ordering a new one to see if it helps. I get tooth marks in my pla also ,but not as pronounced as yours , tried every tension setting .

The teeth seem fine , no rounded tips or sharp tips. I ordered a new filament drive and see if it fix that issue. If not i may have to look at the motor and see if it has lost power .

The motor looks like its turning fine in the video. Seems like a tension problem... it a long shot but maybe the screw that handles the tension is stripped out?

You need at least to 2 spare drives and have hot ends for each material you want to print
with the v3b end. Top motor bracket? ...it's nice to have at least spare.

ABS watch your infill. More is not best, causes warping.
RSilver profiles/factory files for S3D for PLA and ABS are mint. RSliver's ABS profile prints good at 240 too.
with a bed temp of 110. Lots use glue stick, Aquanet super hold, non scented
in the airesol can has done me right. Less messy and fast dry is you have
bed temp on.

If you're going to print out a lot of abs, put some boxes or a windbreak around the printer.
Especially, the top where heat escapes.

Teflon Bowden tube is a nice 5 dollar upgrade on ebay.

jimc sent me the profiles and help solve many of my issues along with several other
members of this board. For which I thank everyone greatly!
