A Question concerning Maintanence

Post by Mike Hunter » Sat Nov 22, 2014 3:43 am

Hi:
My name is Mike and I'm a new MakerGear M2 owner, actually bought it a couple of months ago, and I've read all the maintenance information I can find both here and on the MakerGear website. I've maintained the printer as described, but I need to know if this area (see Picture) is supposed to be oiled. Sorry for the poor quality. This is the "Y" axis belt opposite the motor. There is also one on the "X" axis.

I removed the c-clip and washer and it looks like there's a sealed bearing below. I've done nothing at the moment, but will if lubrication should be used here.

THANKS

Mike H.

its a sealed bearing mike so nothing should be needed. even if you put oil on it i dont think anything would get in there. ive never oiled mine and its a year and a half old and runs hours each day.
