I am using S3D for my slicer for my M2 machine, and I have noticed from time to time my extruder is making contact with my printed material when it does rapid moves. Is it possible to tell the slicer to raise the Z axis a little bit during these rapid moves?
For example on my CNC Milling machine I tell it to raise .10" on any rapid moves so it doesn't touch the piece being milled.
In full disclosure I am using a .75 mm extruder on my M2 machine, so that may be part of my problem of how it's extruding the material.
( the .75 mm extruder head is an experimental Beta head that Makergear sells )
Is it possible to control Z Height on rapid moves?
Re: Is it possible to control Z Height on rapid moves?
I think what your looking for is Retraction Vertical Lift Under the Extruder Tab
While written for older versions of S3D a lot of stuff still applies check out http://jinschoi.github.io/simplify3d-docs/
