I know I'm not the first to have THIS happen. It sure does seem like a problematic area of the design (the lack of a proper strain relief or integrated anchor). I submitted a ticket and hope to get back online soon.
In the mean time, what "improvements" have you guys come up with to prevent this from happening? I don't have the ability to do a lot of fabrication in-house but have to believe something out there could be installed to take the load off the wires. Thanks in advance!

The new connector-on-the-HBP thread may be of interest:BigBadBry wrote:what "improvements" have you guys come up with

You could build this strut using hand tools; it's ugly, but it moves the strain from the HBP to the cable, which is much cheaper & easier to replace:

This shows the strut from below the platform (mirrored in a hotrod HBP, not the stock M2 HBP):

well add me to the list of broken heater bed wire. Ed I see how that may do the trick but I paid good money not to have to cobble my machine. It is a point of contention that needs to be addressed.

Well if it helps, they were super fast about sending a replacement; which just further affirms that MakerGear support is top notch.
To prevent further troubles...I found a picture hanger loop out in my garage (they're pretty cheap in home depot) and used and extra M3x25 Capscrew and lock-nut that came with my kit to create a wire-anchor. now the movement of the table applies no direct forces tot he wire connection point at the PDB. Its a simple fix, and I think its plenty effective to prevent the problem from re-occurring.

The new one on the way, one thing about MakerGear the stand behind their product. I am glad I chose the right printer. I am currently designing a bed clamp with extension to capture HBP wire to prevent future breakage.
