I swapped the 2 40mm fans on the printer for the silent noctua ones and now I really notice the once in the PSU.

Any suggestions??

I ordered a 60mm Noctua fan and replaced the one in the power supply as well.

It is really quiet now, I LIKE it!

Only fan I have yet to replace is the 50mm cooling fan, any suggestions for a quiet 24V fan for this?

Why not use a 40mm 24v Noctua? Doesn't need to be 50mm.

The fan inside the power supply is powered by a separate 12V line. I replaced the stock fan with a NOCTUA NF-A6x25 FLX.

Can you post up the Noctua part number for the PSU fan please? I'll order one and then once it arrives I'll tear the PSU open

btw the 40mm bed fan that I got is MILES from quite but it is effective as hell! TONS of pressure and TONS of flow. I have a good duct on there thats not even aimed at the heater block but I still have to be careful with the fan on any setting over 50% because it cools so fast! haha. I'm using the Neo_Usagi fan duct with my v6 and its design is very restrictive but the fan has zero trouble overcoming it. If you're interested, its a EMB PAPST 424JH I believe

and before people pipe up. Yes I realize that it might seem silly to have a bed fan thats 54db, but still make a fuss about the noise from the PSU. I only use my cooling fan when Im working on a small piece or for bridging, while the other fans are on all the time.

I changed all my fans, eerie silence now along with the stepper dampers that were recommended here.

I think I will leave the case off mine as well. its tucked away under my desk in a place that wont be touched so I'll run it sans case, with the quiet fan. I ordered the 60mm noctua and the stepper dampers. I also ordered some hella bright natural white led tape light from superbrightleds.com so my jealousy of other printers lighting and silence should be coming to an end soon

Should the Noctua just drop right in? I put the same 60mm model linked above on last night and it's dead in the water. Old fan still spins up, so the power is there...

yes it should. Did you confirm that the voltage of the noctua is the same as the original one? Also, if its more than 2 wire, just confirm that you're hooked up to the correct wires. Both my noctua fans dropped in.

So far I've replaced the extruder, power supply, and electronics case with Noctua fans.

I am basically sitting around dreaming and hoping that some fellow maker will make a bracket for a V2 and a 40mm fan so I can replace the bed fan as well
