Hello,

I've dialed my extrusion multiplier and z height in perfectly following the guides here(thank you everyone) but always have this issue on the first layer where when the extruder hops from one "island" to the next it seems like the beginning of the path on the new "island" doesn't adhere properly.

This is ABS at 235/100 V3b on bare glass.

What would you suggest I try to prevent this?

Adhesive. (Either gluestick or ABS slurry.)

It's printing the outlines first, then going in to fill in the layer. Sometimes small circles (and curves) have trouble sticking on the first layer because the forces tend to pull towards the center on a circle. Adhesive will help the little circles to hold on.

Slow the first layer way down it down to give it time to stick, and no bed fan.

Thank you. I have had such good luck up until now with just bare glass that the glue stick slipped my mind. I thought it may be a retraction issue or some other setting that I have no idea how it works.

But the glue stick did the trick. Thanks again.
