I'm looking for a plastic filament with the following qualities:
-Sticky like PLA (Sticks well to glass)
-Strong like ABS
-Doesn't easily delaminate, unlike PLA. (ABS is great in this regard)
-Has a high melting point like ABS (Needs to be able to withstand 90C without melting.)
Basically, I'm looking for something just like ABS except "sticky" like hot PLA. My ABS just isn't sticky enough for what I'm printing.
Does it exist?
Is there something strong like ABS, but sticky like PLA?

Pretty cool. I read this requires the V4 hotend for the 250C recommended extruder temperature?

Also the eSun polycarbonate, but it only comes in clear. You need the v4 for that too. In general though, PETG is a good choice.
The v4 was a worthwhile upgrade, if you don't have one. It opened up more filament possibilities.

I'm finally back to where I started two days ago!

The V3B extruder can handle PETG just fine.

I had many great prints with the V3b using PETG. Well, right up until I boned everything and locked up my entire hot end with solid PETG. Don't do that.swbluto wrote:Pretty cool. I read this requires the V4 hotend for the 250C recommended extruder temperature?

Same here. The main difference is that PETg is up toward the top end of the V3b's range, whereas it's nowhere near the top end of the V4's range. With the V4 I can consider things like "let's crank the temperature up to 260 and see what happens" which I would be hesitant to do on the V3b. In the normal working range of around 240 degrees C, it's fine for the V3b.Mark the Greater wrote:I had many great prints with the V3b using PETG.

I've killed a non-zero number of V3bs the same way brotha.Mark the Greater wrote:I had many great prints with the V3b using PETG.
