Thick pei sheet

I'm new to 3d printing . I see everyone is having the same issues as I am with abs curling on large prints at the edges. I see some recommendations for pei sheets and I'm wondering if one could use it at something like 1/8 thick and just replace the glass with it.

Based on my experience with the PEI sheet so far -- yes. It will take longer to get up to temperature, and may not be as flat though.
