Printer noise I can't figure out

I'm a new owner of a MakerGear M2 that I set up about two weeks ago. Things are going pretty well. Obviously I've been trying numerous settings during this steep learning curve. Today however, the printer started making a noise that's difficult to describe. What I am hearing is something that sounds like a pencil being dragged over basket weave. I know that because I tried to duplicate the sound with things I have around the house. That's the closest thing I can come up with that sounds similar to the noise I hear. I printed two separate models; one with a perimeter of 2 shells and one with a perimeter of 3 shells. A couple of things about this noise; it only occurs when it's laying down the last layer of the perimeter, #2 on a 2 shell and #3 on a 3 shell perimeter and it only makes that noise while the nozzle is moving in the X-axis. I was hoping someone on the forum here could help me out with diagnosing this little glitch.

Can you take a video of this mystery noise and share it with us?

I can do that tomorrow.

Are you using the new Rev. E model? (Z-stop is at the bottom, not the top?) Are you printing PLA?

I have the V4 nozzle, not sure what Rev. E model is. PLA is my filament for now. Eventually I will expand my horizons.
Anyway, I re-leveled the bed and now it seems fine. Not sure if that was the culprit or not, but I'm good to go for now.

Could be dragging over the previous layer as the print head quickly moves, that makes a washboard sound.
It could also be resonance due to the particular print speed you are using. If I am reading correctly, it happens on your outer shell perimeter. You might want to change your outline speed (usually about 80%) down maybe 5% to see if it gets you out of the resonant frequency.

I think you are right about the resonant frequency. I was listening to it last night during a print of a circular piece and it did sound like something on the unit was vibrating at particular locations around the perimeter. I'll play around with the speeds.
Thanks

How do I post a 25MB video so you experts can listen to it and tell me if this is how my M2 is supposed to sound?

No idea on the video- i think most people just upload to YouTube and post a link here.

That's what I assumed.
