I had a clog today, loosened my hotened to remove from bracket and when I went to push it back into place I must have put it into another hole in the bracket....
When I tightened down the set screw I couldn't understand why it wasn't holding the hotend in place....
When I finally realized I was in the incorrect hole and went to put the hotend in the correct hold for the tension screw I had inadvertently must have tightened the set screw to the point that the hole for the hotend closed a bit...
Not I am unable to get the hotend back into the hole in the bracket...
I've tried to gently use a flat screwdriver to open the hole bit (both on the edge where the bracket comes together with the set screw and in the how itself, but it's not working out well...
Anyone have any suggestions on how to widen the hole a bit to get the hotend back in?....
Thanks!!
Need Help!! Metal bracket (on Dual) for hotends
Re: Need Help!! Metal bracket (on Dual) for hotends
If you have closed up the hole for the hot end, using a flat screwdriver as a wedge in the cut that the clamp screw goes through is probably your best bet. That could be a chronic PITA, however, so unless you're able to un-bend it back to where you can slide the hot-end freely you might want to get a new bracket on order.
Re: Need Help!! Metal bracket (on Dual) for hotends
Contact MakerGear support and order a replacement bracket. (Not sure it's going to hold properly if you've deformed the hole.)

I did manage to get it to open enough to get the hotend back into place.
I'm going to see how it does. I may just order another just in case...
Thanks!!
